La nuova serie Aspire x553 include le tecnologie per ottenere divertimento e produttività, a casa o in movimento. Con piattaforma 2010 AMD Mainstream Notebook, che combina processori e scheda grafica ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD premium, vengono offerte buone prestazioni e qualità visiva in HD. Multitasking, giochi 3D, editing di musica e foto, creazione ed editing di filmati HD.

La serie è disponibile in due formati, 35,5 cm (14”) per Aspire 4553 e 39,5 cm (15,6”) per Aspire 5553, dotati di schermi ad alta definizione Acer CineCrystal™ retroilluminati a LED con formato 16:9.

L’audio surround Dolby Home Theater v3 e l’unità Blu-ray Disc consente di guardare i film in Alta definizione. Inoltre, la porta HDMI permette un collegamento veloce ai più recenti sistemi tramite un solo cavo.

Presente un touchpad multigesture, con scorrimento tramite movimento circolare, scorrimento pagine e zoom tramite pinch, consente la navigazione rapida. Il tasto Acer Backup permette di duplicare i file in un’altra posizione tramite un agevole processo in tre fasi per proteggere i dati. Il tasto P di avvio rapido vi consente di avviare agevolmente un’applicazione di vostra scelta mentre il tasto di espulsione ODD vi permette di accedere rapidamente all’unità ottica e di risparmiare energia quando l’unità ottica è in modalità di sospensione.

Memoria DDR3 (fino a 12 GB per il modello Aspire 5553) e il lettore di schede multi-in-one. Sia Aspire 5553 che Aspire 4553 sono dotati di connessione di rete 802.11a/b/g/Draft-N Wi-Fi CERTIFIED, LAN Gigabit e alla connessione Bluetooth 3.0HS opzionale. Inoltre è presente la webcam Acer Crystal Eye ad alta definizione e microfono incorporati.
